Platform Delivery Excellence Lead (Hybrid; m/f/x/d; 80-100%)

Are you a delivery powerhouse who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution? Do you have a talent for cutting through complexity, rallying cross-functional teams, and making things happen at scale? If so, this could be the role you've been waiting for.

About the Role

As our Platform Delivery Excellence Lead, you will be the driving force behind translating business priorities into effective, predictable technology delivery. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that sits at the heart of our Platform organisation — connecting strategy with execution, and ensuring that what we commit to, we deliver. You will lead major cross-functional programmes, build delivery transparency, and create the conditions for our teams to do their best work — all with a sharp focus on client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Programme Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of major Platform programmes, transformations and product migrations, including the overarching OnePlatform programme
  • Establish integrated delivery plans, milestones, clear accountabilities and governance structures across all involved teams
  • Proactively identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies, risks and delivery bottlenecks before they escalate
  • Surface material delivery risks and trade-offs early, ensuring they reach the appropriate decision-making level in a timely manner

Business–Technology Delivery Alignment

  • Ensure agreed business and Platform priorities are translated into coordinated, coherent technology delivery
  • Build and maintain an effective delivery interface between Platform, GDTO and other relevant functions
  • Facilitate alignment on commitments, capacity, sequencing and dependencies across organisational boundaries
  • Continuously improve delivery effectiveness, predictability and ways of working between business and technology teams

Performance & Delivery Excellence

  • Establish joint, outcome-oriented KPIs that connect technology delivery with measurable business and client outcomes
  • Create end-to-end transparency on delivery progress, quality, predictability and key constraints for senior stakeholders
  • Identify recurring or structural delivery bottlenecks and drive targeted improvement actions with the relevant teams
  • Design fit-for-purpose governance, reporting and escalation mechanisms that add value without creating unnecessary process overhead

Client Focus & Issue Resolution

  • Champion client impact in all delivery decisions, ensuring execution maintains a strong focus on client experience
  • Establish a clear escalation and resolution path for client-impacting technology issues, bridging client-facing teams and GDTO
  • Drive cross-functional coordination of material client issues to ensure clear ownership, appropriate prioritisation and timely resolution
  • Translate recurring issues into lasting improvements to delivery and operating processes

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships across Platform, Product, GDTO, Customer Success, Sales and other key functions
  • Provide senior stakeholders with clear, outcome-oriented transparency on progress, risks, dependencies and decisions required
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, client focus and continuous improvement across all teams you work with

About You

You are a confident, credible delivery leader who knows how to navigate complexity without losing sight of what matters most: outcomes. You bring a rare combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and you know how to build trust and momentum across diverse teams and organisational boundaries — without relying on direct line authority. You are commercially minded, client-focused, and energised by the challenge of making large, complex organisations deliver better together.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Significant experience leading complex, cross-functional technology programmes or transformations in a business environment
  • Strong track record of working at the interface between business and technology/engineering organisations, translating strategy into delivery
  • Demonstrated experience establishing delivery governance, performance metrics and continuous-improvement mechanisms at programme or platform scale
  • Proven ability to identify structural delivery challenges and drive resolution across organisational boundaries without direct line authority
  • Experience in platform, SaaS, cloud or digital-product environments, with sufficient technical understanding to challenge, connect and facilitate effective decisions

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience with large-scale product migrations or platform transformation programmes
  • Familiarity with insurance, reinsurance or financial services industry contexts
  • Knowledge of agile delivery frameworks and how to apply them pragmatically in complex, multi-team environments
  • Experience designing and implementing escalation and issue resolution frameworks that span business and technology functions
  • Strong data-driven mindset with experience using delivery metrics and dashboards to drive accountability and improvement
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences alike
