About the Role

 

You are an expert in guarantee and bond issuance with strong interpersonal skills, enjoy direct client contact?

 

This might be your next challenge:

You will be responsible to service domestic and international Surety clients. This includes the timely and accurate handling of client requests and inquiries, as well as the issuance of bonds and guarantees.

In particular your responsibilities will include the following:

Closely interact and coordinate with internal stakeholders in Operations and Underwriting located in various regions and markets, as well as with external stakeholders such as clients, brokers
Process and administer bonds and guarantees in systems and tools, including checking and issuing of such documents at issuance stage and throughout their entire lifecycle
Support the underwriting and renewal processes in analysis, development and evaluation of documents, such as underwriting files, facility agreements and drafting guarantee wordings
Administer syndicated loans, co-insurance, risk participation and other complex transactions
Analyze and identify premium and fee discrepancies and determine appropriate measures

Credit & Surety Operations is an emerging team transforming into a trusted partner, closely collaborating with the global Credit & Surety business teams. With passion, as well as our service and customer orientation we strive for high customer satisfaction and help the business to achieve its profitable growth aspiration. Our team is spread across many locations in Europe, Asia Pacific, as well as North and Latin America. As part of the transformation we are implementing a new Operating Model with new roles and responsibilities, standardize and improve processes and implement a new strategic IT landscape.

Education

Completed commercial education preferably banking specialist or bachelor studies in economics or law
Associates Degree or job experience equivalent

 

Relevant professional experience

Experience with bonds, guarantees and SBLCs analysis and issuance
Basic knowledge and understanding of trade finance and guarantee business
Basic knowledge on sanctions and AML procedures, commercial and company law, UCP600, URDG758
Previous experience in client facing role preferably in finance environment

 

Linguistics

Proficiency in the German and English language, reading, written and verbal, is a must.
Additional languages of relevant markets (especially Spanish, French) are a plus

 

Technical Competencies

Demonstrates good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office. Basic Internet knowledge is a must. SWIFT messages for documentary business a plus
Demonstrates competency in intermediate level math, administrative and clerical procedures including handling files and records, general economic and accounting principles, and processes for providing customer service
Excellent reading comprehension, verbal and written

 

Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new processes and guidelines, learn new skills, and stay updated with the team supported.
