InForce Analytics & Insights Analyst

About the Role
  
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to take on an instrumental role within In Force Optimization (IFO).  The role will present the opportunity to be involved in designing and implementing analytical capabilities for our global Life & Health in force portfolio.  While working within IFO, the position will also collaborate with regional experts in the Portfolio Steering and Monitoring team.
 
Key responsibilities include:  
•    Designing & developing Proof of Concepts for analytical tools, ensuring continuous development of technical programming skills
•    Translating business needs into user stories, use cases & specification documents so they can be easily implemented in conjunction with IT colleagues
•    Converting the analytics capabilities that have been built into actionable insights for optimizing the portfolio
•    Working collaboratively to support the wider aims of the L&H Global Actuarial & PSM & IFO team 
 
About the Team  
 
In Force Optimization is a team created in 2023 to use analytics, data and technology to optimize the in-force life and health portfolio via solutions and actions.  While primarily Americas based, this role will be a key contributor to expanding the analytics and capabilities globally. 

 

Prior to becoming In Force Optimization, the team was known as In Force Management which was formed in 2011 to execution actions to improve the performance of the Americas business.
 
About You 


•    Graduate level STEM qualification with preference for actuarial science qualifications  
•    Proficient in R or Python and have experience using Stargate and Power BI
•    Experience in (re)insurance and familiarity with accounting practices & standards
•    Aptitude for learning new systems & processes in short time frames
•    Demonstrate accuracy, commitment to quality and a process improvement mindset
 Other Skills  
•    Able to build effective working relationships with individuals globally and across different functional areas.
•    An effective communicator, a good listener, and have strong interpersonal skills that will assist in cross-team collaboration
•    Capable of prioritising multiple tasks, proactively managing any clashes & delivering to deadlines.  
•    Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
