Underwriting Analyst (Based in Hoofddorp)(80-100%, hybrid)

This is an opportunity to join our operational team based in Hoofddorp, supporting the Underwriting team to provide technical and operational assistance to meet clients', intermediaries, and internal needs, as well as primary lead, international insurance programs for our Engineering & Construction, Property and Casualty lines of business.

In the role of Underwriting Analyst, your main responsibilities will include the following:
- Entering and maintaining information in systems and tools, including documents, process changes and associated open/completed tasks
- Accountability to deliver timely and accurate business processing also during peak times
- To be the focal point for all technical matters arising on international insurance programs
- Preparing policy instructions and communicating with colleagues worldwide in the International Program Service Unit, Credit Control, Reinsurance and local offices, so that premiums can be debited and policies issued promptly
- Issuing documentation (binders, policies, endorsements and certificates) to our brokers and customers
- Playing a leading role at client and / or broker stewardship or new business meetings by providing an overview of Swiss Re Corso global servicing capabilities.
- Being front of house to own and resolve broker and customer-facing issue's while delivering a proactive and exceptional experience
- Collaborating with our centralised Credit Control team to follow up on outstanding premium positions and broker queries
- Developing a deep knowledge of processes, system touch-points, areas for potential defects, areas for future improvements and become a subject-matter-expert
- Acting as referral point for junior team members
Additionally you will:
- Ensure that international programs are implemented to agreed service standards and corporate guidelines
- Compile, sort, review and verify data accuracy using source documents, detect errors, and initiate correction while following-up with customer or process owner regarding any inconsistencies found
- Participate on and lead small projects, if required, representing operations
- Be involved in work allocation, knowledge sharing, and issue resolution
About the Team
In EMEA Operations we provide support to the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (CorSo) Underwriting Teams in handling insurance and reinsurance business for corporations and/or their captives.
You will be joining the BeNeLux Operations team based in Hoofddorp, having a variety of proficiencies, skills and experience, all committed to bring success to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. In the role of Underwriting Analyst, you will work closely with the EMEA Operations teams in centralized and offshore locations as well as your peers in other EMEA locations.
About You
You have:
- Relevant job experience including understanding of Re/Insurance business in the Nordics Insurance market and Multinational Program Business in particular
- Excellent communication skills (reading, written and verbal) in Dutch and English is a requirement - any other European language is a plus
- Profound user skills in Microsoft Office Package (special focus on Excel)
- Ability handle multiple tasks and set priorities

For The Netherlands, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 62,000 and EUR 94,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
