Underwriting Associate- Energy Property

About the Team

 

Swiss Re is looking for an Underwriting Associate to work for the North America Energy, Mining and Utilities team.  If you describe yourself as a motivated, cooperative and detail- oriented individual who enjoys working in a challenging environment this opportunity is for you!

 

About the Role

 

  • Works well and thrives in a role that requires high interaction with Underwriters and external Program Managers.
  • Coordinate, create and complete complex manual policies.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as needed.
  • You will have the opportunity to participate on special projects, as assigned.

 

About You

 

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience; 4-year degree preferred
  • Strong organization, verbal, written, and analytical skills
  • Takes personal accountability and able to lead and complete assigned work independently, and with high accuracy with regards to details
  • Adept in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Competency in proofreading and reviewing work
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and files within a paperless environment using specified applications
  • Flexibility to work in both a collaborative team environment as well as independently
  • Self-starter with initiative in identifying areas of improvement to processes
  • Ability to operate seamlessly within a fast-paced, changing environment, results-oriented and able to adapt according to priority requirements and balance urgent deliverables
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written)

The role will be located in our Houston, TX office. Our company has a hyrbid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average.
