Apprentice QA Testing (Manual & Automation)

About the Role

As a QA Testing Apprentice, you'll dive into the exciting world of software quality assurance, learning both manual and automated testing approaches while supporting our Financial Risk Management IT team. This is an ideal opportunity for early-career professionals to build technical expertise in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases for risk applications, data processes, and system enhancements
  • Document and maintain test scenarios, cases, and expected outcomes
  • Participate actively in functional, regression, and integration testing activities
  • Contribute to automation by helping develop and maintain test scripts
  • Validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems
  • Track defects using Azure DevOps and collaborate with development teams on resolution
  • Update documentation and support continuous improvement of testing processes
  • Engage in agile practices including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver within agreed timelines
  • Build knowledge through structured guidance and hands-on experience


About the Team

The Financial Risk Management IT team delivers reliable, high-quality risk and data applications that support critical business functions. Working in an international, agile environment, our team collaborates with QA Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Risk stakeholders to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and delivered with confidence.

 

About You

You're at the beginning of your professional journey with a passion for technology and quality. You have a curious mind, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in your attention to detail. You're eager to learn, open to feedback, and ready to grow your technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.


We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing principles
  • Knowledge of SQL for data validation and querying
  • Working knowledge of C#
  • Experience with or exposure to manual testing methodologies
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Academic or project-based experience in automation testing
  • Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for test management
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Exposure to agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Understanding of APIs and testing approaches
  • Knowledge of financial systems, data processing, or risk management concept
