About role

To maintain ground-breaking propositions for Magnum and support the next wave of innovations, we are looking for Associate Release Manager – Product Engineering who is passionate about software architecture and is driven to pursue excellence in delivering premier InsurTech solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan the release management activities of product deliverables through release life cycle (for major, minor and patch releases) with the support of Technical Release Manager Communicate the release management related activities such as release schedules, plans, timelines, requirements, etc. collaborating with various stakeholder groups: project teams, product owners, business, operations etc for timely deliverables.
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releas and infrastructure updates. Identify the risks that can delay the planned releases (major, minor and patch releases) and mitigate/manage them such that the scop scheduled, and quality of the release are not affected.
  • Track the progress and resolve any issues/roadblocks/impediments with work-arounds, improvements, etc.
  • Streamline the end to end release management processes Plan and execute improvement initiatives for Release management Ensure the releases are planned, according to the requirements and budget.
  • Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment, and milestone reviews after each release.
  • Manage and track release plans and their timelines Create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule.
  • Plan and share periodic/regular updates on the release activities Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the releases successfully.
  • Team up with relevant project teams responsible for building the automation tools used to end to end delivery of the software.
  • Schedule the stakeholder meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find and resolve roadblocks, if any.
  • Build and maintain release dashboards Deep understanding of DevOps framework, DevOps tools and metrics for build.
  • Experience required in Jira/Confluence, Creation and management of Structures in Jira, Azure Boards Experience in Azure Cloud with Azure DevOps/DevSecOps, Azure Pipelines and Azure boards, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.)
  • Act as a Deputy to Release Manager and manage end-to-end release management responsibilities

 

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelors Engineering Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering degree.
  • 10-11 years of total IT experience with at least 4-5 years of release management/end to end Project Management and Delivery experience.
  • Experience in CICD - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines
  • Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies Working knowledge/experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience/Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems
  • Experience/Knowledge in Java added advantage.
