About the Role
As a Catering & Events Associate at Swiss Re, you will be at the heart of our workplace experience, delivering world-class food & beverage services and orchestrating seamless corporate events. From strategic planning to hands-on execution, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the day-to-day hospitality experience for our employees and guests in Hyderabad. Key Responsibilities

Design and execute food & beverage strategies that align with organizational standards and cater to the diverse needs of our internal customers

Champion sustainable gastronomy practices, driving initiatives that align with our environmental and organizational objectives

Plan and manage end-to-end corporate events, including developing event plans, timelines, and conducting venue inspections and evaluations

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors — including kitchen staff, caterers, decorators, and audiovisual providers — to ensure timely and flawless service delivery

Ensure full compliance with ISO 22000 and all applicable food safety, health & safety regulations, licensing, tax obligations, and labour laws

Organise FOSTAC training for all food handlers and manage Background Verification documentation

Create and manage budgets, track financial performance, analyse trends, and prepare regular financial and dashboard reports

Build and nurture strong vendor and partner relationships, negotiating contracts and establishing KPIs to ensure cost-effectiveness and service excellence

Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and streamlining operations to enhance efficiency and overall experience

Gather and act on feedback from employees and guests to continuously elevate the hospitality and events experience

Lead and develop contract staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in catering, sustainable gastronomy, and event management

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in catering, food & beverage management, event management, or a related corporate role, with demonstrated experience managing large teams

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including ISO 22000 standards, and experience implementing and enforcing safe food handling procedures

Proven budget management and financial analysis skills, with the ability to create, oversee, and report on budgets and financial performance

Experience in vendor and contract management, including negotiating contracts and managing relationships with external partners and suppliers

Proficiency in event planning and execution, including developing event plans, timelines, and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and leadership skills — the ability to take responsibility for outcomes, lead by example, and drive results even in ambiguous or challenging situations
What Would Make You Stand Out:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Culinary Arts, or a related field

Certifications such as ServSafe Food Handler or similar food safety credentials

Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or equivalent event management certification

Experience working in diverse, multi-geography environments

Familiarity with MSME vendor payment regulations and compliance requirements

Knowledge of local occupational health and safety regulations in India

Experience with automation and process improvement initiatives in a hospitality or facilities management context

Proficiency in preparing dashboards and data reports for consumption and budget tracking

Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and the local language

A collaborative, empathetic approach to teamwork across virtual and in-person environments
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
