Over the last ten years, we have developed over 60 applications, 20 Service Management Processes und 160 Business Services with ServiceNow which span across all areas of our company. About the role 

In this role, you will closely collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and solution architects to develop advanced solutions. Your ability to understand the broader organizational context will be essential as you contribute to building complex workflows and business processes. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Development and Implementation 

  • Build comprehensive knowledge and maintain a strong understanding of the various applications within the squad to ensure effective development 

  • Lead the development of complex workflows, business processes, and applications, delivering entire epics independently while adhering to established guardrails and best practices. 

  • Good troubleshooting skills ensuring operational issues are addressed in a timely manner. 

  • Build integrations with external systems using SOAP/REST protocols and handle data transformation as required. 

  • Effectively manage operational aspects of development to ensure smooth execution. 

Quality Assurance 

  • Mentor junior developers, providing support through work reviews and peer testing to ensure the quality of deliverables is maintained. 

  • Conduct peer reviews to promote best practices and enhance overall team performance. 

Self-Organization 

  • Demonstrate strong self-organization skills a sense of ownership in work and deliverables 

  • Willing to learn, up-skill and have a drive for professional development 

  • Show true teamwork, have a flexible and team-based approach to working with the ability to work independently and take personal accountability 

Essentials 

  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience 

  • Good understanding of OOPs concepts 

  • High proficiency in JavaScript and good experience in building custom applications on ServiceNow  

  • Deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform, including security implementation and building scripted REST APIs, HTML/CSS, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS 

  • Ability to generate data models and translate low-level designs into implementation code. 

  • Experience in creating automated tests at the use-case level to build a robust regression suite 

  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills 

  • DevSecOps mind-set of “You build it – You run it” 

Nice to have: 

  • Proficiency on CMDB, Change management, GRC 

  • Understanding of CICD process 

  • Prior experience on any object-oriented programming languages
