The Public Cloud Platform Delivery Team is a unit in the Public Cloud Transformation department. The team focuses on platform operations that manage the overall Azure platform setup, security policies, and service operations. Enable application teams to deliver secure, compliant, and innovative solutions that increase business value. Partner with application delivery teams to innovate, deliver and operate solutions in a fast, secure and compliant way to enable and increase business value.
The Public Cloud Platform Delivery's mission is to
- Design, build and operate secure and compliant cloud platforms and shared services and tools to enhance value-driven adoption.
- Provide an efficient engineering experience via platforms and services aligned with Cloud Technology Management steering & guidance.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive strategic cloud initiatives, enabling the company to leverage cutting-edge technologies for enhanced scalability, efficiency, and resilience. In this role you will be the "glue" that keep all the initiatives running in the Public Cloud Transformation team together. The responsibility of the role spans from managing strategic initiatives to day-to-day operations involving cross-team collaboration to ensure timely deliveries of key objectives.
Your main responsibilities:
Project Execution and Operational Governance:
- Orchestrating and managing day-to-day operational topics to drive cloud transformation initiatives in a cross-functional team setup.
- Overseeing initiatives, monitoring and driving progress on cloud transformation initiatives.
- Establish roadmaps, manage dependencies, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with various team leaders, subject matter experts and proactively drive progress for topics and initiatives.
- Establish and maintain robust governance for operations and execution ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget and managing risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Build and maintain an oversight of all IT processes (including availability reports, service level agreements, disaster recovery plans, critical vendor arrangements).
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure correct prioritization and smooth delivery of the initiatives.
- Contribute to and manage all communication regarding technical direction and initiatives for the team.
- Act as a bridge between cross functional teams and encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams and regions.
- Championing internal values of operational excellence, seeking opportunities for common approaches and cross-business units/cross-functional collaboration where feasible.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing program performance and integrating feedback for optimization.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and their applications in the insurance and reinsurance sectors.
About you
The following proven technical skills will be required:
Education and Experience:
- A University degree in Business Administration /Information Technology or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as project manager/scrum master/agile coach, with at least 2 years in large scale technology transformation initiatives.
- Technology proficiency with demonstrable IT experience preferably within Consulting and/or Financial Services.
Technical Skills:
- Excellent skills in MS Office, experience working with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence.
- Experience or good understanding of OKR framework to measure and track progress of deliveries.
- Good understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or have worked on similar projects.
Soft Skills:
- Proficient in English with excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Finisher attitude, strategic thinker, problem solver and structured in their approach with focus on delivering outcome with quality and in time.
- Committed to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- At ease with leaving your comfort zone and able to deal positively with ambiguity.
- Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification.
- Any foundational Cloud certifications are beneficial but not a must
