QA Analyst

About the Role

The Test Automation Engineer is a role within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Solutions Technology team. This role reports directly to the Test Automation Architect for P&C Solutions. This role will work with the Test Architect to build and manage a team of Automation, Functional, Performance and Load testers supporting all projects and programs across the P&C Solutions landscape.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop test automation scripts
  • Adhere to the test automation standards and guidelines set by the business unit
  • Be able to manage testing related responsibilities for one or more Product areas across the SDLC
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to develop solutions
  • Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.
  • Follow quality standards set by testing leadership as well as enforce technical and testing standards.
  • Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
  • Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance etc.
  • Support developing new POCs with new tools in the market that suits various business requirements
  • Work with Development team to develop and execute QA strategies and test plans to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.

 

Your Qualifications

  • A Bachelor/master's degree in IT or related or business program.
  • A minimum of 4 – 6 years' experience in the field with a demonstrable record of success
  • Candidate must be highly motivated and able to communicate effectively across global boundaries and with a variety of functional areas and levels in the organization.
  • Strong technical and customer focus skills coupled with excellent interpersonal and business management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile methodology and project management certifications is a plus
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of P&C insurance and reinsurance industry and products and services offered by various P&C insurance and reinsurance companies
  • Prior experience working in an insurtech and/or product development organization a plus
  • Prior test automation experience working on Web, API, ML Model validations, Mobile based applications
  • Prior experience with Selenium using Java/Python, Cucumber, Cypress, Rest Assured, Postman
  • Prior performance testing experience working with JMeter
  • Strong hands-on skills working with Java, Python and C# (added advantage)
