Senior Application Engineer - Angular

About the Role

We have an exciting Frontend Engineering position where you can leverage your expertise while continuing to grow professionally. As a valued member of our team, you'll collaborate in an agile squad alongside Technical Squad Leads who code, provide technical guidance, and assist with solution design.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality Angular components for our SwiftRe® platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features and solutions
Design and implement reusable UI components following best practices
Optimize application performance and user experience
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend issues
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends

Our Frontend is built with Angular version 19, and SwiftRe® is an Azure Cloud-based application that serves a worldwide user base, integrates deeply into Swiss Re's full value chain (including core legacy services), meets high security and compliance standards, and utilizes state-of-the-art technology stacks.

About You

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Frontend Engineer with a strong background in Angular who thrives in collaborative environments and can help deliver successful solutions in our fast-paced, agile setting.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

Strong experience with Angular, particularly in building reusable components
Familiarity with Redux pattern and NgRx
Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

These are additional nice to haves:

Experience in UI/UX solution design collaborating with dedicated designers
Knowledge of modern frontend testing frameworks and methodologies
Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
