About the Role:
As a Senior Full-Stack Application Engineer, you will be responsible for the front-to-back development of several web applications delivered to Swiss Re clients.
Working closely with the Product Managers, Business Analysts and Engineering Leads to understand requirements of their function, you will design and implement components and capabilities to address our clients’ needs and build state of the art, scalable and robust products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hands-on software development for our product solutions, as part of a cross-functional team, under the guidance of the Engineering Lead.
- Participate in Architecture and Design of our cloud-native products and collaborate with peers to drive the full-stack application architecture best practices for our product portfolio.
- As Senior Engineer, you will take a leading role in code reviews and coaching of junior resources.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and client support whenever needed.
- Keep up with technology trends and identify innovative solutions that meet our requirements.
About You:
You enjoy delivering state of the art products by developing code using multiple languages and using modern technologies. You work well independently and as part of a team, you take up responsibility and ownership.
Required experience:
- 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering software applications.
- 7+ years programming C# .NET backends including experience with REST APIs
(knowledge of Golang and/or Python would be a plus) - 4+ years coding on modern web applications (Angular and/or React)
- 4+ years of experience with SQL Databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- 2+ years working on solutions hosted on Azure Cloud and good understanding of Azure stack.
- 2+ years practical knowledge of Azure DevOps, including pipelines and use of GIT code repository.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
- Experienced working in multicultural globally distributed teams.
- Self-starter with a positive approach, who can manage their own workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
