About the position

The Senior Business Analyst is a senior and exceptionally broad role critical to the success of Property & Casualty (P&C) Solutions Technology team. This role acts as a bridge between the P&C Solutions technology and the Product Management business teams. This role provides analytical and domain leadership across all products and solutions that the P&C Solutions team owns and/or builds. This role will support multiple products and programs across the P&C Solutions landscape. The Business Analyst translates Product ideas / Requirements into actionable Features, stories that can be developed and delivered.

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • With broad and extensive knowledge, understanding of P&C industry landscape and business, provide interpretive, advisory, or facilitating services for the use of others to achieve results.
  • Partner with our Product Solution teams to make decisions on priority issues at the intersection of business, technology, and operations
  • End to End ownership of requirements from concept to launch
  • Participate in roadmap development, translating requirements, writing detailed user stories, assist development team in delivery, test, configuration and roll out of acquired platform and tools
  • Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Stakeholder management – product management, software engineering, business operations and QA teams
  • Provide support to Proof-of-Concept exercises and other business viability studies across all products.

 

Qualifications

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the P&C Insurance industry as a Business Analyst or Business Solutions Consultant
  • 7+ years’ experience working with technical teams and serving as a translator between business, technology and operations
  • Prior experience working in business consulting firms or product development firms preferred
  • Ability to take complex business problems and translate them into clear and accurate results
  • Bachelor's and/or MBA degree
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent in crisp & clear communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • 3+ years of experience building Software using Agile methodologies required

The Person hired in this role will be part of Data Analytics Solutions team within the Digital &Technology Re organization, responsible of the technology side of the Reinsurance Solutions business of Swiss Re.
