About the team

The Public Cloud Platform Delivery Team is a unit in the Public Cloud Transformation department. The team focuses on platform operations that manage the overall Azure platform setup, security policies, and service operations. Enable application teams to deliver secure, compliant, and innovative solutions that increase business value. Partner with application delivery teams to innovate, deliver and operate solutions in a fast, secure and compliant way to enable and increase business value.

The Public Cloud Platform Delivery's mission is to

•           Design, build and operate secure and compliant cloud platforms and shared services and tools to enhance value-driven adoption.

•           Provide an efficient engineering experience via platforms and services aligned with Cloud Technology Management steering & guidance.

About the Role

 This role requires to drive the evolution of Swiss Re’s Azure AI & Data Platform into a scalable, governed, and business-aligned product, enabling:

• Enterprise-wide adoption of AI/GenAI and data capabilities
• Faster realization of data-driven business outcomes
• Strong alignment with risk, compliance, and cloud governance standards

 Your main responsibilities:

• Own and drive product vision, roadmap, and OKRs for Azure AI & Data services
• Translate enterprise priorities into measurable product outcomes and value realization
• Ensure alignment with GTS strategy, cloud transformation, and business unit needs
• Own the product backlog, prioritization, and delivery sequencing
• Define clear product features, acceptance criteria, and KPIs
• Make independent scoping and prioritization decisions balancing value, risk, and cost
• Ensure delivery predictability through Agile execution and governance rhythms
• Accountable for platform capabilities across:

• • Azure OpenAI / AI Services and responsible AI controls,
  • Databricks / Synapse / Fabric for analytics and data engineering
  • Data governance, lineage, catalog, and platform standards
  • MLOps / LLMOps lifecycle management
• Act as the primary interface between business, engineering, and platform teams
• Influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
• Communicate roadmap, risks, and outcomes to leadership forums
• Embed security, regulatory, and audit controls into product design
• Ensure adherence to cloud governance frameworks and policies
• Drive standardization and guardrails for safe AI/data adoption
• Monitor product health via adoption, cost efficiency, and reliability metrics

About you

The following proven technical skills will be required:

• 12+ years in product management / cloud platform / data engineering roles
• Deep hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Strong experience with Azure Databricks as an enterprise data platform capability.
• Proven delivery in enterprise-scale cloud or data platform environments
• Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Bicep and CI/CD Azure DevOps pipeline integration for automated quality and reliability checks
• Strong grounding in Platform engineering concepts: golden paths, paved road tooling, self‑service automation, RBAC, and internal developer platforms (IDPs).
• Experience in Azure landing zone design, platform automation design, DevSecOps tooling, network topology & connectivity, access management & privileged identity design, platform monitoring, security architecture, high availability architecture design.
• Experience in DevOps methodology (preferably DevSecOps), both technically and organisationally, including continuous deployment, delivery pipelines and test environments.
• Good stakeholder communication. Ability to work with Delivery Directors, Security Leads, Architects and engineering teams.
• At ease working in a transformational and complex environment at a fast-pace and getting things done.
• Proficiency in English is required.
