Team Lead Digital Risk Control for Business Domain Tech

As Team Lead Digital Risk Control for Business Domain Tech, you will own first-line digital & technology risk control activities for the business units' tech domains – ensuring risks are identified, controls applied, and performance monitored, measured and reported to our technology leaders. About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, operational resilience, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security and digital governance strategy.
As a part of Digital Risk Governance & Control, the Digital Risk Control team drives design and operating effectiveness of our controls for Business Domain Tech. We're looking for a highly motivated team leader who is passionate about driving our organisation's risk culture.
In your role, you will…
- Lead the Digital Risk Control Business Domain Tech team for Swiss Re
- Be accountable for maintaining a robust digital risk posture in your area
- Establish a strong risk culture within the organisational structures
- Ensure threats and risks are understood, issues are handled timely, and controls are designed and operating effectively
- Collaborate with digital & technology teams to embed controls into operational procedures, measure performance and improve our risk position continuously
- Establish operational transparency and reporting with continuous monitoring and assessment of controls, ensuring we meet our risk tolerance, while driving corrective actions when necessary
- Lead, inspire and develop the Digital Risk Control team by establishing an environment which enables autonomy and mastery for all team members
- Provide a development plan that enables all staff to continuously enhance their skills and that supports learning and growth for the team
- Actively contribute to the development of our strategy as an active member of the leadership team
- Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day
Your qualifications
- Passion, drive and a belief in the value of digital risk management as an enabler of business performance
- Strong people management and leadership skills and enthusiasm for building a successful team
- Demonstrated expertise and a high level of motivation as a leader for an international team with the ability to work in a hybrid setting
- Ability to build a strong collaborative network within IT
- Skills to convey information to diverse audiences – from Senior Management level to IT development teams
- A track record of successful delivery in IT governance-related roles, such as IT audit and operational risk management
- General understanding of Risk Management Frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 31000 and COSO ERM
- CISA, CGEIT, CRISC or similar qualifications are an advantage
- Knowledge on insurance, reinsurance business, and contemporary technology solutions
- An elevated level of integrity, result-efficient approach and composure under pressure
- Be curious, proactive, result-oriented and confident in decision-making at speed
- Strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
