Test Automation Engineer III

About the Role
As a Test Lead, you'll be at the forefront of our quality assurance efforts, orchestrating comprehensive testing strategies across multiple application components. You'll leverage your expertise in both manual and automated testing to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end testing across all application components including API, web, and server

Design and implement automation frameworks for API and UI testing using modern technologies

Conduct performance testing using JMeter or other industry-standard tools and document results

Guide team members in optimizing automation frameworks and QA release processes

Manage test pipelines and trigger appropriate test suites (sanity, smoke, regression, functional) as needed

Communicate test results effectively, demonstrating issues to development teams and escalating blockers when necessary

Develop and maintain test planning, test strategies, and test matrices

Facilitate bug triage sessions and ensure proper defect management

Oversee STLC implementation within an Agile development environment

Your technical expertise is complemented by strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior QA engineers. You're proactive, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement in testing processes.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

6+ years of experience in manual testing and automation (UI and API)

Hands-on expertise in automation scripting and execution using Typescript, Playwright, RestSharp, C#, Selenium, or Postman

Experience in developing automation frameworks (POM, TDD, BDD), integrating pipelines, and running builds

Solid understanding of test methodologies and best practices for productive delivery

Experience in leading QA teams and effective defect management
These are additional nice to haves:

Experience with performance testing and measuring API responses

Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility testing

Experience with geolocation applications and Google Maps integration

Insurance domain knowledge, particularly in P&C

Azure DevOps experience for maintaining test suites and repositories

Experience with version control tools like Git, SVN, or Mercurial

Strong code review and refactoring skills
