Test Automation Engineer

About the Role

The Test Automation Engineer is a role within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Solutions Technology team. This role will build and support a team of Automation, Functional, Performance and Load testers supporting all projects and programs across the P&C Solutions landscape. 

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
• Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.
• Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards.
• Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
• Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.
• Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.
• Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc.
• Participate in the development of the QA strategy, methodology, discipline and framework. Driving and improving the QA team in areas of automated testing and agile testing.
• Work with QA Leads and Development team to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.

Your qualifications

• A Bachelor/master's degree in IT or related or business program.
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in the field with a demonstrable record of success
• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
• Candidate must be highly motivated and able to communicate effectively across global boundaries and with a variety of functional areas and levels in the organization.
• Strong technical and customer focus skills coupled with excellent interpersonal and business management skills.
• Knowledge and experience in Agile methodology and project management certifications is a plus
• Basic understanding and knowledge of P&C insurance and reinsurance industry and products and services offered by various P&C insurance and reinsurance companies
• Prior experience working in an insurtech and/or product development organization a plus
• Prior experience working on Digital Transformation, Automation and AI/ML initiatives a plus
• Prior experience with Selenium .NET BDD Cucumber, J Meter and Load Runner preferred
• Prior Experience in Experience in Typescript playwright and Rest sharp will be a plus
