About role

To maintain ground-breaking propositions for Magnum and support the next wave of innovations, we are looking for UI Dveloper who passionate about software architecture and is driven to pursue excellence in delivering premier InsurTech solutions.

As Magnum UI Architect you will be responsible for product design, you will be combing your design thinking techniques, engineering expertise, networking skills and business domain knowledge to ensure success of product roadmap and retain knowledge in Swiss Re

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and promote an internal web-based repository of UI design guidelines and patterns, code samples, and UI componentry
2. Implement visually aesthetic user interfaces.
3. Must be strong in coding skills.
4. Hands-on in any UI framework/language [Angular/react]
5. Extensive UI development experience to understand the evolution of technology from older technologies like ColdFusion, Flash, and Java to newer technologies like HTML5/CSS3/Javascript.
6. Good Experience in Responsive Web design.
7. Strong code debugging skills & problem-solving skills
8. Create unit tests to ensure code is functioning as expected.
9. Familiar with Azure DevOps.
10. Collaborate with QA and other stake holders for any defects or requirements clarification or design discussions.
11. Good understanding of Agile Development.
12. Good to have knowledge on Insurance domain.

Your Qualifications

• Around 8-10 years of experience working as UI Developer preferably for Financial and Insurance institutes.
• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
• Strong background in the fundamentals of Computer Science.
• Understanding and experience with asynchronous processing, partial page refresh, DOM traversal and manipulation.  Experience with REST API construction, documentation, and architecture, including API description languages like Swagger.  Experience with parsing and manipulating XML and JSON.
• Familiarity with Component-based architecture such as React.
• Broad experience in JS-based UI technologies: Angular, Bootstrap.
• Working proficiency in User Experience design: interaction design, data visualization, layout, and information architecture. 
• Experience developing multi-channel, mobile-responsive and mobile-adaptive UI
• Experience creating and maintaining a design language system or documented UI framework.
• Experience in enterprise or SaaS development.
