Claims Expert (Hybrid Work Model)

About the Role


This Claims Expert is responsible for the overall controls on Structured Fronting Claims matters, including but not limited to better lead compliance risks and claims governance framework. This position coordinates new business/renewal Structured Fronting Claims activities with various partners and ensures global consistency in claim's service across the world.


  • Manage the International Programs and Structured Fronting Claims portfolio per insurance agreements.

  • Coordinate vital tasks according to Claims Governance Framework with partners to ensure functions completed the listed tasks before binding any new businesses.

  • Drive and improve International Programs (IP) Claims Process / Technology.


Key Responsibilities include:


  • Maintain Claims Handling Protocol for Structured fronting deals based on the requests from Structured Fronting Team and Global Claims Team.

  • Participate the pre-/post-binding discussion with International Programs (IP) Community and Structured Fronting Teams.

  • Facilitate cash call payments with Captive/Reinsurer.

  • Collaborate with Claims CRM to build claim bordereau and identify any new claims trends.

  • Conduct follow-up activities on policy Binder Verify status with IP Operations Team.

  • Bring up problems / issues which impact on resource/workflow to Head IP Claims and IP Community.

  • Supervise the Claims Data via Claims Dashboard.




  • Fulfill all Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (SRCS) claims guidelines, RI Agreement and local regulations for all Structured Fronting deals.

  • Provide financial overview for IP and Structured Fronting claims by assuring accurate investigations/evaluations are completed before claims payments.

  • Ensure the Binder Verify (BV) status is on track and prioritize the tasks via regular contact with SRCS Network Partner Binder Verify and Operations Team.

  • Improved Turnaround Time on BV  claims.

  • Creation of Claims Handling Protocol/Workflow documents and process workflow.

  • Present IP claims valuation proposition with Claims Team or Network Partner.

  • Attend IP Community meetings.

About You


  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 5 years or above relevant working experience in International Programs claims insurance industry.

  • Experience in Structured Fronting business will be an advantage

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and independent team member.

  • Decisive problem-solver with a demeanor to handle critical issues with tact and speed.

  • Strategic and growth mid-set.

  • Excellent with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Proficient spoken and written English language.

  • Candidates with less experience may be considered as Claims Specialist.
