Claims Operations Expert
Handle low severity claims promptly, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Ensure quality and compliance in claim processing. Oversee and train processing teams, assign tasks and provide feedback. Maintain and update global Standard Operating Procedures for claims processing.
About the Role
- Maintain all required claim handling licenses and manage books of low severity claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims documents.
- Manage claims from first advice to settlement effectively.
- Analyze documents for any necessary financial adjustments.
- Review client inquiries about open billing/invoices.
- Communicate with internal and external customers and other insurance companies via telephone, meetings, and written correspondence to obtain specific information needed for claim processing.
- Perform other related duties and handle claims accounts as directed.
- Provide management, support, and guidance to processing teams.
- Monitor and provide understanding for multiple Bordereau processes for current and runoff business.
- Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, colleagues, and establish strong virtual teams via telephone and computer networks.
- Train other Claims Analysts or Examiners as needed.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
About You
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of industry-related experience
- Leadership, analytical skills, and ability to make and implement decisions
- Process orientation, problem-solving, and training skills

- Verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally and virtually within the business
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
This position will be located in our Kansas City, MO office. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $69,000 to $125,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
