Global Claims Technician - Hybrid (onsite/remote)

About the role:

Responsible for prompt and efficient analysis of claim documents and communication received by internal/external clients.  Process claims documents including set up of new claims, correspondence with clients and partners, and processing financial updates in the system.  They are also responsible to set efficient Technical Approval on Flow claims.  They work within the team to resolve issues and improve processes by performing root cause analysis.  Maintain data quality overall and create consistency between the information in the system and the treaty or contract.  This person should be self-motivated with analytical skills and attention to detail. This person must be able to work in a dynamic environment with the ability to navigate through periods of change and ambiguity. 

 

  • You'll be responsible of reviewing and processing claim documents and transactions in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • You will independently analyze basic coverage and set up claims.
  • Root cause analysis and review pain points to resolve issues and improve processes. 
  • You'll be able to demonstrate and utilize your effective problem-solving skills.
  • You will work collaboratively across teams, functions and regions and support the requirements of internal clients
  • The role will let you collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
  • The role requires you to provide support for various projects in Operations:
    • Analyze documents to determine when financial adjustments are required.
    • Process financials and handle bordereau analysis and reconciliation when applicable
    • Administrate a small portfolio of claims.
  • Understand Reinsurance treaties and technical clauses and can apply them is important for you to understand the role.

 

About the Team:

We are the team responsible for processing claims payments in a timely manner. We must analyze documents and process customer complaints accurately and with excellent customer support. Our primary responsibility is that customers get the quality and service our subscription areas committed to have. This work involves establishing good relationships and coordination with other operational areas to complete administrative processes.  Actively work on the solution of cases, improve times and processes aligned to the automations proposed by the operational team.

 

About you

  • Do you have a College degree or related business experience?
  • Do you have an effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)?
  • Have you demonstrated and used effective problem-solving skills?
  • Are you client oriented with excellent customer service skills?
  • Are you self-driven? You will enjoy working effectively within a matrix environment.
  • We appreciate demonstrated data analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • We want to have in our team a member with problem-solving skills and ability to look for creative solutions to resolve errors.
  • You'll develop curiosity about the future of the business.
  • You'll fit perfectly in the role if you are fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Reinsurance/ Insurance experience, preferably in Claims or Claims Operations.
  • You'll have to be able to work in a virtual/remote international/global/multicultural team environment.
  • SharePoint, Power BI and Microsoft Suite
  • Fluent in English.
