Senior Reinsurance Consultant

About the Role

 

You will work with partners to identify business challenges, engage in business transformation activities by planning, executing, and controlling activities to design and deliver new products, services, applications, new behaviours in projects of any kind, size, nature, and type. You will be applying multiple methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Problem Solving, Change Management, and Process Engineering to reach the desired goal. You will support or be the key driver of global initiatives, while also act as key linking pin to the needs of our Americas offices in those.

You will have an opportunity to build a powerful portfolio of exciting and rewarding experiences. You will master new skills, and work across different fields, move into new challenges and quickly develop a robust understanding of our business operations across the value chain.

 

About the Team

 

We are the first point of contact for our Property & Casualty Business to structure, coordinate and hands-on support transformation initiatives that that align people, process and technology with the business strategy and vision. We collaborate with stakeholders across all of Swiss Re. The P&C Consulting team is part of P&C Re Business Excellence.

 

 

About You

 

Must haves:

  • A consultative demeanour, previous management consulting or professional services delivery experience of 5+ years
  • Experience analysing, articulating, and defining the requirements of business ideas; driving data gathering and evaluation, assess and redesign processes as well as developing specific artefacts to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution
  • Methodologies to design, execute, and lead projects of varying size and complexity (e.g. PMP, PRINCE 2, PROSCI)
  • Communicating at all organizational levels and using influencing skills to ensure focus is given to the most valuable activities
  • Dealing with ambiguity, work with integrity and a positive attitude, willing to learn and connect, flexible to adapt, have a "can-do" approach

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or similar process engineering qualification
  • Agile (SCRUM, Kanban) methodologies, and experience of application resulting in business value (e.g. PSM I/II, KMP1/2)
  • (Re)Insurance knowledge
