About the role - 100% Remote
You are an engineer with very strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin and experience using Microsoft Azure to create solutions. You understand how to run and deploy Linux containers to Kubernetes, and you are familiar with resources such as Key Vault, relational and NoSQL Database Platforms, and Application Telemetry and Monitoring. You are able to put on an architect's hat to think about the best solution to a problem and understand the advantages and trade-offs of different approaches.
Your responsibilities include:
- Crafting and writing containerized Microservices with Java and/or Kotlin
- Docker and kubernetes knowledge essential
- Debugging skills and writing telemetry
- Strong api controller design and implementation skills
- Writing unit and integration tests to verify public endpoints
- Utilizing appropriate data stores (relational, non-relational, binary etc)
- Documenting design proposals and implementations (Visio, Markdown)
- Experience with Azure resources and environments
- Understanding of Events and Event Driven Architecture (Event Streaming, Kafka)
- Security design and applied knowledge
- Devops skills useful (IaC, scripting in bash/sh or Powershell Core, yaml pipelines)
- Understanding of golang preferred

This position is 100% remote.
For this remote position the estimated base salary range is $120,000 to $180,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
