About the Role:

As the Americas regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Building & Technical Operations, you'll be the driving force behind our workplace infrastructure reliability across multiple regional locations inside North and South America. You'll govern how building services are operated and maintained across the region, providing crucial technical expertise while steering performance against global standards. You will work in close relationship with the individual Location Operations Managers and exchange with the SMEs from other regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate building IoT/OT operations including BMS controls, metering, sensors, and alarms, ensuring they follow IT and security policies
  • Support digital monitoring initiatives that improve reliability, response times, and compliance evidence
  • Provide operations expertise to projects throughout all phases
  • Maintain accurate system documentation including operating manuals and system logs
  • Lead incident troubleshooting with structured approaches, prioritizing safety and business-critical issues
  • Coordinate with IT and Physical Security on CCTV and Physical Access Control System issues

About You:

You're a technical operations professional who combines hands-on expertise with strategic thinking. You excel at translating technical requirements into practical solutions and work well with stakeholders across a matrix organization. Your attention to detail ensures compliance, while your problem-solving abilities keep operations running smoothly even during critical incidents. You feel comfortable communicating between technical expert and management level.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • 8+ years in multi-site technical operations, facilities engineering, or building infrastructure management (office or comparable environments)
  • Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and critical infrastructure, with confidence in complex troubleshooting and decision-making
  • Provider and contract management experience, including SLA/KPI-based performance governance
  • Strong discipline in documentation, internal controls, and audit readiness, comfortable working in an IWMS/AMM or CMMS environment
  • Project experience across commissioning/testing and handover to operations
  • Ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment as a clear, pragmatic communicator
  • Fluent English (additional regional languages are a plus)

Additional nice to haves:

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Hands-on experience with Planon (or similar IWMS) and asset/master data governance
