HR Partner

About the Role: 

  

Be the lead for the Malaysia office in relation to HR business partnering.  The role evolves to include in data, analytics and process co-ordination in all functions of Human Resources. The role as well works alongside other HR and Business DOOs, Coordinators and Business Managers to ensure alignment of activity.  Delivery of suitable solutions and continuous improvement of HR processes and products with specific reference to data. Additionally, this role will work across the HR Specialist functions, and HR Strategic Pillars to be the central point of contact across operational activity.  The role will also take an active role in supporting the implementation of key projects. 

  

  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery and timeline of HR core processes (Continuous performance management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Annual Compensation Review, Employee engagement surveys, Employee Life Cycle Activities). 
  • Drive HR initiatives and projects and reinforce policies & practices. Devising creative solutions where necessary within policy framework
  • Participating in projects and/or contributing to projects in terms of HR improvement
  • Local HR contact point for business stakeholder for topics in relation to HR
  • Create insights and synthesize data and information to enhance understanding of the business and performance relating to key KPI measures. 
  • Produce presentations that provide insights and analysis to support the business as they make decisions. 
  • Provide insights / presentations to the respective governance bodies, committees, and BU management. 
  • Provide human capital analytics and metrics creating insightful information to measure progress against KPIs.
  • Produce executive, management, standard and ad hoc reports, and other necessary deliverables, utilizing the central HR reporting tools e.g., the Workforce Dashboard, whilst pro-actively creating reporting solutions for specific business needs. 
  • Co-ordinate with topic experts & ensure follow-up activity/requirements are documented and cascaded appropriately.

About You: 

Key skills and knowledge: 

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as HR Partner in an insurance firm (preferably MNC)
  • Experience with Senior stakeholder management
  • Proven experience in dealing with Bank Negara/local HR governance/labour law/ER/compliance etc
  • Experience of recruitment in the local market
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to review data and produce critical analysis and insights including understanding basic statistics. 
  • Local language expertise, excellent communication skills: strong with both verbal and written presentations with experience of creating story telling through executive analysis/reporting information. 
  • Able to prioritize and work in a structured and organized way. 
  • "Hands on" HR professional with knowledge of HR management processes in a global business environment
