Business Development Analyst, Alternative Capital Partners

 

We are looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial, and positive professional to support the Alternative Capital Partners Business Development team in securing institutional capital!

 

This position can be based in either New York or London and will report to the Head of Business Development. The responsibilities will be global and encompass all our products.

 

About the Role

 

In this role you will take the lead in responding to investor questions, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and other sales requests ensuring coordination across all teams and tracking response times.  You will have opportunity to support projects and research activities as identified in the team as well as supporting the publication of periodic updates on the ILS market and Swiss Re's activities.

 

Additional key responsibilities include:

 

  • Build and maintain marketing presentations across various products
  • Organise and coordinate marketing events, conferences, and roadshows
  • Develop and maintain websites relevant for capital raising initiatives
  • Manage Client Relationship Management tools, to track investor data and communications
  • Conduct competitor analysis and maintain a comprehensive view of the investment landscape
  • Ensure Due Diligence Questionnaires and reporting databases are accurate and regularly updated

 

 

About You

 

You are adept at interacting across various functions at all levels of the organization and can build a thorough understanding of navigating the broader company landscape. You are analytical, highly organized, detail-oriented, and diligent. You approach tasks with confidence and take pride in delivering high-quality responses and materials!

 

Additional requirements include:

 

  • 2+ years of work experience in capital raising, investor relations, investment management, investment banking, consultancy or related functions
  • University undergraduate or master’s degree, preferably in a field requiring analytical skills such as economics, mathematics, engineering, finance, or natural sciences
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Design skills and creativity for developing presentations
  • Ability to work effectively with teams in multiple locations across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiarity or experience with data analytics tools and relational database management (e.g., Python, Power BI, SQL)
  • Self-motivation with a history of taking initiative and being adaptive in a dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in detail-oriented settings
  • Capability to operate in a rapidly changing business environment and adapt to new circumstances efficiently
  • Willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm and passion
