About the Role
As Lead P&C Re Operating Model Strategy & Design, you'll be at the forefront of reimagining how our global P&C Reinsurance business operates. You'll translate cutting-edge AI and analytics capabilities into practical operating model designs that deliver measurable business outcomes. This role offers exceptional exposure to Business Unit-level decision-making while working across a diverse ecosystem of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Target Operating Model Strategy - Own the conceptual design and continuous evolution of the P&C Re target operating model, aligned with BU strategy, performance objectives, and Group direction.
- AI-Enabled Operating Model Design - Translate AI and advanced analytics potential into concrete operating model choices across processes, governance, and decision frameworks, collaborating with Technology, Data, and functional teams.
- Organization, Process & Capability Design - Define future-state processes, roles, and capability requirements, linking strategic ambitions to clear organizational implications.
- Transformation Pathway Development - Translate design choices into clear transformation building blocks and sequencing logic, contributing to integrated cross-functional roadmaps.
- Strategic Workforce Planning - Assess workforce impacts of operating model and AI-driven change, including skills evolution, capacity needs, and location strategy considerations.
- Governance Implementation - Embed operating model principles and AI design standards into governance forums and decision processes.
- Senior Stakeholder Partnership - Act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, developing clear analyses to support BU-level decision-making.
- Change & Adoption Enablement - Provide structured input into change strategies, articulating clear rationale for structural changes.

P&C Executive Office is a truly global team working with senior leaders across the P&C Reinsurance Business Unit to shape and deliver on our strategy. As Swiss Re's largest Business Unit, P&C Re is responsible for all Property & Casualty (Non-Life) Reinsurance business worldwide. Our mission is to drive operational excellence, positioning Swiss Re for success both today and in the future while collaborating closely with colleagues worldwide and across functions in P&C Re and Swiss Re Group.
About You

You combine analytical rigor with creative thinking and have a passion for how emerging technologies can transform business operations.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Advanced academic background (Master's or MBA preferred), ideally with a focus on business, strategy, technology, or finance
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operating model design, or business transformation roles, ideally in (re)insurance, financial services, or management consulting
- Experience contributing to large-scale transformation programs in global organizations with cross-functional exposure
- Strong understanding of P&C reinsurance value chains and core processes
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience working specifically with AI, digital, or advanced analytics implementations
- Track record of building trusted relationships with senior leadership
- Existing network within Swiss Re Group
- Experience in change management methodologies
- Knowledge of agile ways of working and their application in traditional organizations
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
For United Kingdom, the base salary range for this position is between 78'000 GBP and 118'000 GBP for a full-time role.

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
