Payroll Associate (80 - 100%)

About the Role

 

The Payroll Associate will work in conjunction with the Payroll Manager and team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the organization. This role is responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, compliance with relevant regulations, and supports overall financial integrity. The payroll associate will look to support simplification of processes and help drive efficiencies. The Payroll Associate will be assigned ad hoc projects spanning the global payroll as well as working closely with HR Admin team. 

 

Please note, this position is on a fixed term contract for 9 – 12 months.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Payroll Processing: Under the guidance of the Payroll Manager you will take ownership for the execution and completeness of the payroll cycle including calendar and deadlines, data input, calculations. 

  • Compliance: Support the Payroll Manager to stay abreast of changes in payroll laws and regulations, implementing necessary updates to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.  

  • System Management:Support the Payroll Manager to work together with the payroll provider on optimization of the payroll systems and software, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

  • Reporting: Produce the monthly payroll reports to review and reconcile ensuring payroll accuracy both pre and post payroll runs.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, queries or issues, working closely with the Payroll Manager and other departments to ensure accurate and timely resolution. 

 

About the Team

 

The UK&I HR team consists of 10 people. The team is responsible for Payroll; Pensions; Benefits and HR People Partner support.

 

About You

 

We are looking for a great communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work accurately within time constraints as well as delivering to deadlines. Are you detail oriented and commited to maintaining confidentiality?

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Previous experience within a payroll environment and understanding of payroll requirements from a benefits and legislative perspective 

  • Working knowledge of payroll software and systems

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel at Intermediate/Advanced level - solid knowledge of v-lookups, pivot tables is a key requirement for this role
