Risk Consultant Intern (10-week paid position)

Risk Data Solutions (RDS) is a central pillar of the reinsurance strategy, critical both to development of our core activities as well as developing new revenue streams for Swiss Re. The Risk Consulting & Analytics (RCA) team within the RDS Division is globally responsible for delivering risk consulting and behavioural economics (BE) consulting services to our clients. We unlock the power of data by providing insights and advice to our clients along the entire risk transfer value chain and partner to realize their strategic ambitions of growth, profitability, and efficiency. About the Role
As an intern in the RCA team, the candidate will get the opportunity to work on a range of risk consulting and BE projects with the London and EMEA based team. The type of activities the internship will entail include:
- Preparing data and conducting analysis for client projects
- Summarising findings and creating reports to present project results back to clients
- Supporting the team's marketing and sales and origination efforts to build up a pipeline of leads for future client projects, for example by creating marketing materials or by conducting desk research into our target client segments
- Support the development of the risk consulting and analytics and BE proposition by working with the team to help shape and enhance our offering to clients

This is a 10-week paid position, based in London, starting 22nd June 2026.
About You
We're looking for a curious, analytical student with strong communication skills who can translate complex data into meaningful insights for our clients. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where you can apply your quantitative skills to real-world risk consulting challenges during this summer opportunity.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Currently pursuing a quantitative degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with datasets and draw meaningful conclusions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
These are additional nice to haves:
- Academic interest or coursework in behavioural economics
- Previous project work or coursework applying analytical or behavioural insights
