Are you passionate about financial reinsurance solutions and building meaningful client relationships? Do you thrive at the intersection of technical expertise and strategic thinking? If so, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. Join Swiss Re — one of the world's leading reinsurance and risk transfer organisations — and help shape the future of financial solutions for some of the most influential players in the UK and Irish insurance markets.
About the Role
As a Senior Financial Solutions Manager, you will be at the heart of Swiss Re's Go-to-Market strategy, driving the identification, origination, and delivery of innovative financial reinsurance solutions for clients across the UK and Ireland. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where your expertise, creativity, and commercial acumen will directly influence Swiss Re's growth and client success.
You'll work closely with client managers and cross-functional teams to design and execute solutions that address complex capital, accounting, liquidity, and M&A-related challenges — making a tangible difference for clients and the broader market.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage a dedicated client portfolio, taking specific ownership and accountability for nominated client relationships
- Analyse and identify client needs, providing strategic support to Senior Client Managers as required
- Lead the transaction process from point of sale through to delivery, ensuring clients receive exceptional service that meets or exceeds expectations
- Collaborate with internal partners across functions to co-develop and refine financial solutions that are innovative, compliant, and commercially sound
- Develop and execute business plans, including budgets, marketing objectives, and strategies tailored to your client portfolio
- Play a leadership role in the UK & Ireland Transactions Cross-Functional Team, contributing to strategic direction and team development
About the Team
This role sits within the UK&I Life & Health Client Markets team, a dynamic and collaborative group that is central to Swiss Re's Go-to-Market strategy. As Senior Financial Solutions Manager, you will work in close partnership with Senior Client Managers and supporting functions across the business, playing a pivotal role in shaping how Swiss Re engages with and delivers value to its clients. The team operates in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment where innovation, collaboration, and client centricity are at the core of everything we do.
About You

- Proven experience managing and developing senior-level client relationships, including engagement at CFO level and above
- Strong knowledge of the UK and Irish insurance market, including commercial and technical dynamics
These are additional nice to haves:
- Actuarial qualification (FIA or equivalent) — a strong advantage in this role
- Experience with structured re/insurance and longevity products
- Ability to translate complex technical details into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and challenge assumptions, bringing innovative solutions to complex problems
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
