About the Role
As an Underwriting Associate Intern, you'll get real-world exposure to the commercial insurance business while providing crucial support to our underwriting teams. This internship offers a perfect blend of technical learning and practical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with team members, Team Leads, and Underwriters on daily operational tasks
- Attend business meetings and take responsibility for follow-up actions
- Maintain electronic records following established guidelines and processes
- Review and verify data accuracy using source documents
- Follow up on outstanding items and documentation as required
- Support the team in meeting service level agreements and targets
- Communicate with various stakeholders to resolve queries and inconsistencies
About the Team
The UK Operations Team is dedicated to supporting Corporate Solutions (CorSo) Underwriters in all aspects of their role. Our team works collaboratively to ensure underwriting operations run smoothly and efficiently, providing the foundation that enables underwriters to make sound decisions and deliver excellent service to our clients.
About You
We're looking for enthusiastic students who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn about the insurance industry. You should be comfortable working in a team environment while also being able to take initiative on individual tasks.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in business, finance, insurance, or related field
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders
These are additional nice to haves:
- Previous internship or work experience in a professional office environment
- Interest in pursuing a career in insurance or financial services
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Innovative thinking and problem-solving aptitude
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week. The salary for this position will be shared with you during the interview process.
