About the Role

 

Support the Tools & Systems team with impactful projects at various stages of maturity and help to communicate advances of cutting-edge technology solutions to the wider community.

 

Engage with the B3i Company and business community as the products develop. Help to coordinate testing and manage feedback from Swiss Re staff.

 

Based in London, but interaction with staff across the globe.

 

Main tasks:

  • Support the specification and testing of the 'B3i Re' solution

  • Support tasks for other electronic placing activities

  • Research on the topic of Blockchain & Insurance and work on the production of the regular Swiss Re Blockchain newsletter

  • Create training, communications and project management materials

 

In return:

  • Learn about Reinsurance, Data exchange & standards and Blockchain topics

  • Gain first-hand practical experience of project and change management techniques

  • Work with the global Swiss Re team, clients and suppliers

 

About the Team

 

The Tools & Systems team is responsible for the P&C Reinsurance Pricing, Costing and Placing solution landscape. The team is spread across five global locations.

 

Electronic placing is a hot topic where the industry has an opportunity to modernize, create efficiencies and increase certainty of coverage for all contracted parties. The industry has a range of proprietary and industry-level solutions in this space, and Swiss Re is engaged with many of these initiatives.

 

About You

 

  • Inquisitive mind-set

Note: this is not an IT technical role, so no programming or detailed technical background is required.

The start date is 21st of June, and is a paid placement for 10 weeks till August.
