Compliance Officer (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract, Hybrid)

About the Role

 

We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Compliance Officer to join Swiss Re’s Capital Markets business in Luxembourg on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting strategic initiatives across multiple entities. You will provide pragmatic advice, manage compliance risks, and maintain strong relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders.  Your primary focus will be on the monitoring and implementation of Luxembourg regulatory requirements for capital markets activities, while also contributing to global compliance projects and initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses three core areas:

 

 

Chief Compliance Officer & MLRO for Swiss Re Capital Markets Europe S.A. (SRCME)

 

SRCME is regulated by the CSSF ("Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier") and the Chief        

Compliance Officer's duties for this position include the following: 

 

  • Act as Chief Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for SRCME, regulated by the CSSF.
  • Identify, assess, and report compliance risks; advise management on mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to CSSF, MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive), CAA (Commissariat aux Assurances), and IDD (Insurance Distribution Directive) requirements.
  • Oversee AML/CFT framework and complaints management function.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and deliver training programs.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and monitor regulatory developments.
  • Prepare reports for the Board and liaise with regulators as required.

 

AML/CFT Compliance Officer for Swiss Re Funds Lux 1 (RC)

 

Swiss Re Funds Lux 1 is regulated by the CSSF and the AML/CFT's Chief Compliance Officer's duties for this

position includethe following: 

 

  • Perform AML/CFT risk assessments and report findings to Group Compliance, the Board, and CSSF.
  • Oversee the Fund's AML/CFT framework and deliver staff training.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation.

 

Compliance Officer for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Global Markets Inc (SRCSGM)

 SRCSGM is unregulated and used by Swiss Re for capital markets activities in the US and the duties on this position include the following: 

 

  • Implement compliance programs and targeted training
  • Assess and report compliance risks and oversight of AML/CTF
  • support the compliance needs of the businesses, maintaining Compliance documents and procedures
  • monitoring relevant regulatory changes and reporting as and when required to the Board of SRCSGM. 

 

About the Team

 

You will join Swiss Re's Asset Management & Capital Markets Compliance team, a global function with colleagues in Switzerland, the UK, US, Luxembourg, and Bratislava. We act as a trusted advisor and governance partner, enabling business success while safeguarding regulatory integrity.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum four-year higher education degree and at least five years’ experience in CSSF and capital markets compliance.
  • Proven experience in regulatory interactions with CSSF.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT, international trade controls, and data protection regulations.
  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages are an asset.
