About the Role
As a Legal Entity Finance Operations & Reporting Specialist, you will sit at the intersection of local regulatory compliance, financial analytics, and finance transformation — giving you a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives, shape scalable reporting solutions, and support senior stakeholders with data-driven insights.
A key focus of the role will be supporting statutory (Lux GAAP) and regulatory (Solvency II, Solvency UK) reporting requirements in Luxembourg for Swiss Re Europe (SRE) and Swiss Re International (SRI) head offices and their branches, while driving analytical insights and process improvements through enhanced use of financial and operational data in line with the GFO&T ambition.
Key Resposnibilites
- Own and support local reporting activities for Luxembourg entities and their branches (e.g. local statutory, Solvency II, Solvency UK, intra-group retrocessions) and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, process inefficiencies, and automation opportunities - translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to Legal Entity and GFO&T strategic initiatives by performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, supporting implementation activities, and tracking progress against key milestones
- Prepare high-quality reporting materials and data-driven packs for senior management and regulatory decision-making, in close collaboration with senior Finance stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements by analysing existing carrier finance and reporting workflows to develop standardisation and automation opportunities – helping build more efficient and scalable solutions.
- Support the development and rollout of a Legal Entity Dashboard, contributing to refinement, testing (parallel run), go-live, and continuous improvement, while helping drive user adoption.
- Support regional and global Carrier Management activities, including preparation of materials, facilitation of meetings, and delivery of training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Strengthen regulatory reporting governance by enhancing controls, documentation, and data quality processes on an ongoing basis
About the Team
GFO&T is the division responsible for accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for Swiss Re globally for external reporting and internal analysis, facilitating strategic decision-making. This includes IFRS reporting as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST, Solvency II, Solvency UK, and local regulatory reporting requirements.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- +4 years of experience in finance, consulting, regulatory reporting, or finance operations within insurance or financial services
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights. Familiarity with programming, data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or similar)
- Mindset of curiosity and mental agility for continuing enhancement and problem solving around AI driven initiatives and project work
- Experience with Luxembourg regulatory reporting frameworks or local statutory reporting requirements is desirable
- Solid understanding of financial processes, controls, and data governance principles, and stakeholder management in a regulated environment
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills with strong attention to detail
- Fluency in English is required (working language of the team); French would be desirable given the Luxembourg-based environment and regular interaction with local stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience in re/insurance finance environments
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial close/reporting processes
- Exposure to automation, AI, or digital transformation initiatives in finance or reporting functions
- Experience supporting process improvement or finance transformation projects
- Familiarity with finance systems, regulatory reporting tools, or enterprise data platforms
For Luxembourg, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 70,000 and EUR 116,000 for a full-time role.

- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days of the week.
