Are you a sharp, curious thinker who thrives on untangling complexity and turning insights into action? Do you want to work in a dynamic, international team that uses cutting-edge techniques to drive resilience? If so, Swiss Re's Group Internal Audit team wants to hear from you.
About the Role
As an Audit Manager – Operations & Change within Group Internal Audit (GIA), you'll be at the heart of Swiss Re's risk and assurance landscape. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior stakeholders and function heads across multiple business lines, helping to strengthen Swiss Re's risk culture and control environment. This is a role for someone who loves solving complex problems, communicating with influence, and making a tangible difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-quality audits by guiding teams on standards, methodologies, and testing approaches — ensuring rigour and consistency throughout
- Drive risk assessments — both annual planning cycles and ongoing evaluations — to ensure audit effort is proportionate to emerging risks
- Manage and nurture stakeholder relationships within your area of responsibility, building trust and credibility with senior leaders and function heads
- Oversee issue follow-up to ensure audit findings are addressed effectively and in a timely manner
- Contribute strategic expertise to the GIA audit plan, helping to shape priorities that reflect the evolving risk landscape
- Coach and inspire audit team members, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support talent development by assisting with recruitment efforts and providing meaningful performance feedback
- Collaborate with internal and external experts on complex, ambiguous challenges — bringing creative, risk-focused thinking to the table

- 10+ years of experience in internal audit, assurance, or a closely related function, with demonstrable expertise in operations, compliance, and risk controls
- Strong audit methodology knowledge, including risk-based audit planning, testing design, and quality assurance practices
- Proven track record in transformation and change, either as an auditor or manager overseeing transformational processes and projects
These are additional nice to haves:
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CIA, PROSCI, ITIL, or equivalent — demonstrating a commitment to professional standards
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, law, finance, risk management)
- Experience working with data analytics or audit automation tools, reflecting an appetite for innovation
- Skilled at building and sustaining relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams and beyond
- Excellent report writing skills, with a focus on communicating risk and business impact clearly and concisely
