DevOps Engineer (Hybrid option)

About the team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, corporate security, governance, operational resilience, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. As a part of a wider company Security Team, the Cyber Defence Engineering team has the mission to monitor, detect, and report cyber security-related threats targeting Swiss Re. We are looking for a DevOps specialist who will help us to introduce new tools and relevant features, and to improve our security capabilities.

In your role, you will…

• Be responsible for DevOps processes, platforms, and technologies within the wider context of a Cyber Defence Engineering team
• Collaborate to improve the release and deployment strategies towards a zero-downtime approach
• Ensure that the DevOps practices are followed within the Cyber Defence Engineering team
• Participate in the improvement and maintenance of the Kubernetes clusters and in the implementation of the security standards
• Develop and maintain the delivery pipelines used by the Cyber Defence Engineering team
• Align with incident response, threat intelligence, and other relevant teams to achieve defined objectives and key results
• Consistently learn and expand knowledge of information security best practices
• Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way everyday

Your qualifications

What we need from you

• Knowledge of and proven skills in professional enterprise DevOps environments
• Experience with IaC/IaaC/Containerisation technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with Python/Bash/PowerShell programming languages
• Approach to work with a consistent DevOps and DevSecOps mindset
• Knowledge of major public cloud ecosystems and platforms (Microsoft Azure) as well as private cloud
• Information security foundational concepts
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)

Nice-to-have

• Working history of Microsoft’s security suite of applications and platforms
• Knowledge of Agile working methodologies
• Experience working as a security analyst or incident responder (in a SOC/CSIRT/on-call setup)
