About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the Vulnerability Management Engineering team owns and develops applications and tools for vulnerability management, penetration testing, and Red Teaming.
We are looking for an expert engineer who'll help us to integrate vulnerability sensors, process vulnerability data and improve our security operations through automation.
In your role, you will…
- Improve Swiss Re's cybersecurity posture by developing, implementing and integrating vulnerability management and CSA (continuous security assurance) solutions.
- Work with market leading security technologies and development environments.
- Define the setup and configuration of the solutions in Cloud environments.
- Create the documentation for the developed solutions.
- Work with QA engineers to ensure our solutions and integrations meet high expectations for reliability and availability.
- Have a chance to learn more about information and offensive security, and vulnerability management.
- Act as part of an agile team (Scrum) and CICD process.
- Contribute to Swiss Re's Healthy and transparent risk culture where everyone engages in continuous risk accountability activities.
Your qualifications

What we need from you
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience of sophisticated development projects using C# (.Net framework) & JavaScript languages (React and angular frameworks).
- Some experience on Python language (FastAPI framework, pydantic, click libraries).
- Good programming practise and experience with AzureDevOps platform.
- Experience meeting non-functional requirements such as reliability, availability, performance
- Team player and passionate about learning new areas.
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with agile development and DevOps.
- A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or comparable knowledge.
- Understanding of technologies related to offensive security and experience with diverse IT technologies.
- Experience building integrations to existing systems.
- Proficiency in RESTful based applications, cloud technologies, containers.
- Proficiency in application development in Azure.
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 42,000] and [EUR 70,000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
