IT Resilience Reporting Engineer (80-100%)

We are looking for a creative problem solver who preferably has knowledge of IT Disaster recovery practices and related data. In this role, you will enable data-led reporting and help our teams making their Disaster Recovery management process faster and more accurate. As part of a diverse team of versatile professionals you help to cultivate data-driven decision making.

 

In your role, you:

  • Acquire and aggregate data from primary and secondary data sources (structured & unstructured information).
  • Explore options to integrate data between systems, improve data ingestion and quality.
  • Support to build and maintain Data (Ontology) model.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns within our data.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and generate insights on IT Continuity posture for stakeholders and management.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to foster data-driven decision-making.

 

About the Team:

Sitting in the Group Technology Services division, the IT Resilience Team is a multinational team that aims to provide a one-stop shop offering well-rounded IT Service Continuity services.

We develop and maintain IT Continuity-, Resilience- and DR- capabilities to mitigate the risk of unavailability and restoring Critical IT Services in the event of a major disruption and enabling a prioritized recovery with minimal impact to Swiss Re's critical business processes. Our team ensures that these measures are effectively embedded within the organization and consider modern best in class operating models and tech environments (Cloud, SaaS, Dev(Sec)Ops, IaC).

 

Your qualifications

Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of our requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are curious about the world of Data Management and Disaster Recovery we'll be more than happy to meet you!

Must Have

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze significant data volumes in a similar business field or domain.
  • Expertise in data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Proficient in SQL, at least one programming language (e.g. Python) and reporting / data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau/Power BI).
  • English Proficiency and good communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Cloud Literacy and passionate about Agile practices.
  • Experience in Data -Hydration and -Curation using Palantir Foundry platform.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency to prioritize and apply sound commercial judgment.
  • Ability to cultivate networks throughout an organization to gather support and build a foundation for a data driven culture.
