Integration and Operations Manager - Trade Credit Insurance (TCI) (Hybrid)

About the Role 

 

 

Reporting to the Head of Global Operations for Credit & International Surety, you will build and lead a geographically dispersed team of 2-6 Operations Analysts, ensuring continuity and execution quality for all back-end processes related to a newly acquired portfolio. 

 

 

Alongside your ongoing operational responsibilities, you will play a key role in supporting the transition and integration of our expanded business. Working closely with the Operating Model Integration Lead, you will help translate integration decisions into practical, well-controlled operational processes and ensure smooth implementation within your team. 

 

 

This role requires balancing business continuity with change, maintaining stability while embedding new ways of working and is an exciting opportunity to drive real impact in a strategic growth area for Swiss Re. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

 

  • Establish and oversee back-end TCI operational processes related to recent expansion, ensuring appropriate process coverage and controls in line with Swiss Re standards 
  • Establish robust controls and governance for newly integrated back-end processes in line with Swiss Re global process standards
  • Monitor and manage performance against SLAs and KPIs, promoting continuous improvement and addressing service or capacity gaps as needed
  • Build, develop, and lead a newly-formed TCI Operations team, defining roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations to support integration and steady state operations 
  • Drive process improvements across key operational interfaces, including partner clearance and technical accounting and credit exposure recording
  • Support implementation of the target operating model within TCI Operations in partnership with the Operating Model Integration Lead
  • Contribute to ongoing integration and transformation initiatives, ensuring effective and sustained change adoption
  • Make sound operational decisions in complex situations, balancing risk, client impact, and efficiency

Credit and Surety Operations is a global function working closely with our business partners to deliver reliable and efficient operational support. We focus on service quality and operational excellence, enabling the business to achieve its growth objectives. 

 

 

On a day-to-day basis, we process credit and surety transactions and manage insurance policies, bonds and guarantees, premiums, and fees with accuracy and timeliness. 

 

 

 

About You 

 

 

 

You are an experienced insurance operations professional with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering results in complex environments. You have supported or led integration or transformation initiatives and understand how to balance business continuity with change. You combine operational rigor with sound judgment and are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across business, finance, risk, and technology 

 

 

You are comfortable working across geographies and functions, bringing structure and clarity to evolving situations. You are confident building or scaling teams, establishing clear priorities, and driving accountability in a fast-moving environment. 

 

 

Key Requirements 

 

 

  • 8+ years of experience in insurance or financial services operations, including 3+ years in a project or people leadership role  
  • Experience supporting or leading integration, acquisition, or transformation initiatives of global scope in a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of commercial or specialty insurance operations, including premium processes and technical accounting; credit and surety experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to insurance operations
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across geographies and in matrixed environments
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; additional European languages are an advantage
  • University degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience driving digital transformation or operational improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks 

 

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week. The base salary range for this position will be shared with you during the interview process.
