International Programs Insurance Intern (6 months - part time)

About the Role

As an International Programs Insurance Intern, you will play an active role in supporting the day-to-day service delivery operations of the PULSE & Network team — a pioneering incubator within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions dedicated to developing cutting-edge tech solutions for brokers and carriers in the International Programs space. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners, gaining hands-on experience across policy implementation, client management, and operational excellence.

This is a 6-month, part-time internship that offers a unique window into the insurance industry through a modern, tech-driven lens — supporting a SaaS platform (PULSE) combined with fronting network access and risk pooling services designed to reduce barriers to entry in the International Programs market.

Key Responsibilities

• Support policy implementation activities, ensuring quality, consistency, and first-class service delivery for International Programs clients, including pre-quotes, policy and invoice coordination, and endorsements handling

• Monitor and report on operational program performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks early and taking necessary actions to ensure service levels remain within agreed tolerances

• Liaise with International Programs experts to address local office particularities, and collect and document knowledge of different markets and local regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with International Financial Management and Technical Accounting teams to understand the cash position across the program portfolio and support the provision of timely updates to clients

• Prepare presentations, insurance proposals, and customer updates to support client engagement and business development activities

• Contribute to customer management activities, including reviewing legal documents and supporting contract preparation and renewals

• Support the creation and maintenance of guidelines and standard operating procedures for both onshore and offshore teams, collaborating internally to continuously improve processes and system capabilities
