This is an exciting opportunity for a student or recent Engineering graduate who wants to build a professional career in the Property Underwriting sector.

About the Role

As a Junior Property Underwriter Intern, you will support the team in daily underwriting activities and operational tasks, including risk research, analysis of risk exposure, documentation and file processing, analysis of policy conditions, and participation in commercial activities and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the portfolio database and ensure it is kept up to date.
• Follow up on portfolio renewals and related documentation.
• Support underwriting analyses of new submissions, business practices, and risk assessments for new and existing clients.
• Assist with the preparation of insurance proposals, documentation, marketing materials, and sales presentations.
• Contribute to document management and organization to ensure files are complete and accurately processed in our systems.

About You

We are looking for a well-organized, open-minded, and curious individual with a strong interest in learning about insurance and a wide range of related topics.

You should have:

• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and ownership of tasks.
• Experience working within a team and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and analytical skills.
• Some experience with commercial insurance lines of business and related products would be an advantage.
