About the Role

 

As a Legal Counsel in our Digital Advisory team, you'll be at the forefront of legal innovation, providing holistic support to our Group Digital and Technology Office. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the Group Digital and Technology Office, providing timely, high-quality legal advice while proactively articulating legal risks and opportunities related to new technologies
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of technology agreements including AI implementations, cloud solutions, data agreements, smart analytics, software licenses, and innovation collaborations
  • Assist with regulatory issues related to outsourcing, including participation in meetings with regulators
  • Coordinate internal approval processes across Legal & Compliance and related functions such as Risk Management or Information Security
  • Monitor relevant legal developments in technology, data, and security fields
  • Ensure legal risks are promptly identified and mitigated through legal analysis and written reports, especially regarding intellectual property protection and data usage
  • Contribute to internal policies and procedures for new business models
  • Conduct training sessions on legal and compliance risks with a focus on innovation
  • Engage and manage external legal counsel as needed

About You 

 

You're a solution-oriented legal professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys the challenge of navigating complex technological landscapes. Your ability to translate legal complexities into practical business advice makes you an invaluable partner to technical teams.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Fully qualified lawyer with 10+ years of experience in IP and IT law, developed within a global organization or law firm
  • Demonstrated expertise in technology agreements, including AI, cloud solutions, and data privacy regulations
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly
  • Fluency in English (good command of other languages, preferably German, is an advantage)
  • Experience leading and managing complex legal projects independently

 

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting technology implementation
  • Background in digital transformation or innovation projects
  • Experience working in multicultural and international environments
  • Ability to anticipate emerging legal issues in technology

 

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between 57,000 and 95,000 EUR (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

 • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role

• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
