M365 Workplace Engineer - focus Security & Compliance (hybrid)

You will play a central role in all aspects of the Swiss Re Digital Workplace, which is built around Microsoft Cloud solutions and services, including design, development, configuration, integration, operations, as well as orchestration between various teams and internal partners.

About the Role 

Join Swiss Re as a Microsoft 365 Workplace engineer and security and compliance expert! 

You will participate in the end to end solution design and implementation of new services, controls and capabilities in order to continuously improve security, governance and compliance for the Microsoft 365 platform at Swiss Re 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Continuous development of the Microsoft 365 core platform including identifying, evaluating, and deploying new platform capabilities, processes, and solutions to meet security and compliance requirements. 

  • Design, architect, implement and operate Microsoft 365  security and compliance controls that grow with emergin risks and fulfill SwissRe standards. 

  • Ensure best practise around risk management within the Digital Workplace  

  • Assist in third level support cases  interfacing both with Microsoft and internal teams 

  • Drive operational excellence and automation, as well as security policy improvements with the Swiss Re security teams and internal partners. 

  • Support us to continuously improve our M365 platform, including creation of run books, training and knowledge transfer. 

  • Continuously upskill, improve procedures and share knowledge

You should bring some years of experience in a similar role and have a track record of successful delivery. 

 

You will need: 

  • Expert knowledge of M365 platform and services, including related security and compliance capabilities such as Microsoft Purview and Defender toolset. 

  • Good working knowledge of Azure, Networking, Data management and visualisation.Strong development and automation skills. 

  • Understand underlying components in the space of Azure cloud, Identity and Access Management, Azure Active Directory as well as provisioning, authorization and authentication concepts 

  • Understand underlying components in the space of Identity and Access Management, Azure Active Directory as well as authorization and authentication concepts. 

  • Fluent English and good communication skills at all levels of the organisation 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience in a global, multi-national enterprise, preferably with experience in the insurance and financial sector. 

  • Experience with eDiscovery, Compliance Capture and Risk Management methodoligy 

  • Experience working in agile SCRUM methodology
