M365 Workplace Engineer with focus on Exchange Online (hybrid)

You will play a central role in all aspects of the Swiss Re Digital Workplace, which is built around Microsoft Cloud solutions and services, including design, development, configuration, integration, operations, as well as orchestration between various teams and internal partners.

About the Role 

Join Swiss Re as a Microsoft 365 Cloud and Exchange Online expert. You will deal with end to end solution design and implementation of new services and capabilities and be in charge to continuously improve security, governance, automation, and Microsoft 365 service integration. 
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Continuous development of the Microsoft 365 core platform and Exchange Online service including identifying, evaluating, and deploying new platform capabilities, processes, and solutions to meet requirements. 

  • Design, architect, implement and operate Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls, particularly around Exchange online and the messaging service, that grow with emerging risks and fulfill SwissRe standards 

  • Drive technical security policy improvements with the Swiss Re security teams and internal partners. 

  • Assist in third level support cases interfacing both with Microsoft and internal teams 

  • Drive operational excellence and automation 

  • Continuously upskill, improve procedures and share knowledge

You should bring some years of experience in a similar role and have a track record of successful delivery. 

 

You will need: 

  • Expert knowledge of Exchange Online Messaging including related security and compliance capabilities such as MIP, DLP, Defender ATP, Threat analytics, DKIM, DMARC. 

  • Good knowledge of overall Microsoft 365 services and architecture, as well as IT Security 

  • Strong development and automation skills 

  • Working knowledge of Azure, Networking, Data management and visualisation. 

  • Understand underlying components in the space of Identity and Access Management, Azure Active Directory as well as authorization and authentication concepts. 

  • Fluent English and good communication skills at all levels of the organisation 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience in a global, multi-national enterprise, preferably with experience in the insurance and financial sector. 

  • Experience working in agile SCRUM methodology
