Security Architect (Hybrid Setup)
Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As a Security Architect, you'll contribute to the maintenance of technical security standards which the company adheres to – including the development of new security patterns, their integration into the relevant standards, supporting the teams which operate with them, and adopting them where needed. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy.
You will have the opportunity to leverage and realise your expertise in the Enterprise Security Architecture and Security Advisory team. Our team cooperates directly with delivery and engineering teams to assess the environment and solutions for ongoing security improvement opportunities – all while shaping the organisation's technical security standards and requirements.
We're seeking a highly motivated team player who is passionate about cyber security, understands security concepts, architecture patterns, and is eager about driving security requirements within complex organisations.
In your role, you will…
- Support and collaborate with Senior Security Architects and Enterprise Security Architects on various cybersecurity-related topics and projects
- Review and verify security requirements, architecture blueprints, and processes for the application and solution landscape in our public cloud environment
- Review and contribute to security standards for a variety of technologies and platforms within Swiss Re's IT landscape
- Ensure the business domain architecture is aligned with group security requirements and feedback on business domain-specific requirements is provided to the Security Team
- Oversee and ensure security requirements are set and implemented during application development and adhered to during the application life cycle

Your qualifications
Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of our requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are curious about the world of security architecture in a well-established cybersecurity team, we'll be more than happy to meet you!
What we need from you
- Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of proper security architecture as an enabler of business performance
- A career dedicated to security with some years of experience in security architecture or solution architecture
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods as well as willingness to dive into new areas
- Familiarity with some industry security frameworks and standards in regulated environments
- Can-do attitude with proactive approach towards challenges, producing tangible results
- Expertise within some of the following cybersecurity areas: application security, modern authentication and authorisation protocols, cloud-native architectures, network security, APIs, and gateways
- A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure
- Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
Nice-to-have
- Microsoft, CSSP, CISSP, SANS GIAC or similar cybersecurity related qualifications

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 42,000] and [EUR 70,000] per year (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
