Senior Audit Data Analyst (Hybrid)

Do you enjoy using data to uncover insights, strengthen controls and support better business decisions? As a Senior Audit Data Analyst in Group Internal Audit (GIA), you'll combine advanced analytics expertise with agile ways of working to support risk-based auditing and help Swiss Re achieve its vision of resilience.

 

About the role

 

In this role, you will lead and develop data-driven audit approaches by partnering with auditors to understand key risks, controls and business processes. You will identify and acquire the required data, perform analytical assessments, and discuss insights with both audit teams and auditees to support informed decision-making.

 

Beyond delivering analytics solutions, you will contribute to advancing data-driven auditing across GIA by sharing your expertise, coaching junior analysts and auditors, and helping strengthen analytics capabilities within the function.

 

The Audit Analytics Center of Expertise equips GIA with advanced analytics capabilities and a team of specialists dedicated to delivering end-to-end solutions that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of internal auditing at Swiss Re.

 

About the team

 

Group Internal Audit provides independent and objective assurance to the Board of Directors and Group Executive Committee, helping protect Swiss Re's assets, reputation and long-term sustainability. Through our audits, we assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver insights that help strengthen the organization's operations.

 

About you


Education and experience:

 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Experience translating business requirements into analytical use cases.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end analytics delivery.
  • Experience working in agile environments and applying agile practices.
  • Experience working with Internal Audit or other assurance functions, such as Risk Management or Compliance (preferred).
  • Proven experience developing GenAI assistants and agents, and applying them across the audit lifecycle, including risk assessment, audit scoping, control testing and reporting.
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques to solve business problems (preferred).

  • Structured analyst, capable to adopt and use data-driven auditing, including data analytics, to assess risks, scope audits and test controls. Strong attention to detail. 
  • Team worker, able to listen to others but also influence in order to see the wider picture and achieve a vision

 

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 56,000 and EUR 94,000 for a full-time role.

•    The requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role 
•    The applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience 
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus. 
  
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
