Senior DevOps Engineer

About the team 

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy.  

 

As a part of the Security Team, the Privileged Access Management (PAM) team builds and operates the system used for protecting privileged accounts, with exclusive capabilities, at Swiss Re. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join us. 

 

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Be responsible for the deployment, automation, and operation of our PAM environment, including both Windows and Linux servers. 
  • Work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the seamless deployment and operation of our internally built PAM application. 
  • Contribute to Swiss Re's Healthy and transparent risk culture where everyone engages in continuous risk accountability activities. 

 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Deployment: Assist with the deployment of the internally built PAM API using pipelines and Terraform 
  • Automation: Build deployment automation for our PAM application using Puppet, Chocolatey, and pipelines. This includes deploying and configuring various Windows servers using Puppet configurations and packaging PAM application components 
  • Operation: Manage the operation of our PAM environment, primarily consisting of Windows servers and some Linux servers 

 

 

Your qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role 
  • Strong knowledge of deployment automation tools such as Puppet, Chocolatey, and Terraform 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines 
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 

 

Preferred experience: 

  • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions 

 

 

 

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 60.000] and [EUR 100.000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:  

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
