Senior Product Analyst - Application Portfolio Management (APM)

 About the role

The Senior Product Analyst partners closely with the Product Owner to drive the strategic evolution, and operational excellence of Swiss Re’s Application Portfolio Management (APM) and related Service Now products capability. The role combines deep ServiceNow platform expertise, enterprise architecture knowledge and hands-on delivery experience to ensure the ServiceNow ecosystem evolves in line with Swiss Re's business strategy, governance standards and operational needs. 

Acting as a trusted advisor to the Product Owner, Business Stakeholders and the DevOps Team the role leads complex initiatives end-to-end across a highly integrated and customised ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management (ESM) landscape. 

Responsibilities 

  • Serve as a senior product and platform expert for ServiceNow APM and related capabilities, including GRC, SOPM and SACM, with strong knowledge of the platform, integrations and enterprise application landscape. 

  • Contribute to product strategy, roadmaps and backlog prioritisation, aligning platform evolution with business objectives, architectural standards and emerging capabilities. 

  • Identify, evaluate and integrate AI capabilities into ServiceNow solutions to deliver measurable business value while meeting architecture, governance and security standards. 

  • Design and lead end-to-end ServiceNow solutions and complex platform initiatives, ensuring scalability, maintainability and long-term architectural sustainability. 

  • Define and coordinate configurations, workflows, data models, integrations and custom applications across APM and related ServiceNow capabilities. 

  • Translate business and process requirements into effective solution designs, functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria. 

  • Assess platform capabilities and gaps, driving optimisation, remediation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Partner with Product Owners, DevOps team, business stakeholders and vendors, providing strategic and technical advisory support throughout the delivery lifecycle. 

  • Ensure solutions and associated data comply with enterprise architecture, security, data governance and platform standards, including data quality and lifecycle management. 

  • Proactively identify emerging ServiceNow capabilities, industry best practices and innovation opportunities, translating relevant developments into recommendations for the product roadmap and opportunities to simplify or replace customised solutions. 

  • Define dashboards, KPIs and analytics to enable data-driven portfolio and application lifecycle decisions, while supporting adoption and promoting ServiceNow best practices across the organisation. 

 

About you

Preferred Experience 

  • Extensive experience in enterprise IT, including at least six years specialising in the ServiceNow platform. 

  • Proven experience in large, complex, and highly integrated ServiceNow environments. 

  • Strong background in Application Portfolio Management (APM), Policy Exception Management, Software Portfolio Management (SOPM), and Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM). 

  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives end to end while remaining hands-on in delivery. 

  • Experience working with external partners or system integrators in long-term engagements. 

Technical and functional skills 

  • Expert knowledge of ServiceNow with strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, workflows, integrations, dependencies, and reporting. 

  • Understanding of emerging AI capabilities within the ServiceNow platform and their practical application in enterprise environments. 

  • Ability to provide strategic, data-driven recommendations grounded in platform realities. 

  • Solid understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL or equivalent). 

Soft skills

  • Process-oriented, end-to-end thinking with a strong focus on business and user outcomes. 

  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced product environment.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a federated, matrix-driven enterprise environment. 

Preferred certifications 

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Portfolio Management Implementation Specialist 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) 

  • ServiceNow Certified ITSM Implementation Specialist 

  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or equivalent architectural experience 

  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent Service Management certification 

 

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 for a full-time role.

•  The applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience 
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus. 
  
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
