About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to refining our CI/CD processes, developing robust internal tools, and fostering a collaborative environment that empowers our development teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in advancing our global platform and setting high standards in software delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance the developer experience by identifying areas for improvement in the CI/CD process and implementing solutions.

• Collaborate closely with the DevOps and development teams to streamline deployment and facilitate monitoring.

• Develop and maintain internal tools and libraries to support development, testing, and operations.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members to foster skills development and adherence to best practices.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools that can be leveraged to improve the development lifecycle.

• Contribute to technical documentation to ensure a flawless onboarding process for new team members.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and shared knowledge.

Our cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS platform operates on AWS, embodying a robust and scalable architecture. Here are the key technologies we use:

• Backend: Using Kotlin, Java, and SpringBoot, orchestrated via Docker and Kubernetes. Real-time data streaming is managed through Apache Kafka.

• Database Management: We employ MongoDB and PostgreSQL for a balanced approach to NoSQL and relational data handling.

• Frontend: Our user interfaces are built with ReactJS and TypeScript, ensuring a responsive and intuitive user experience.

• Continuous Delivery: Our pipeline is streamlined with GitLab, facilitating a consistent and reliable delivery process.

• Monitoring and Logging: Employing a suite comprising Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana and AWS X-Ray for comprehensive system monitoring and log management.

• Data Lake: Built on AWS S3 and AWS Aurora, with AWS Lambda and DTB handling most data transformations, ensuring a well-structured and manageable data ecosystem.

• Reporting: Tableau serves as our primary tool for data visualization and reporting, aiding in data-driven decision-making.

• Data Mesh Initiative: We are in the preliminary stages of implementing a Data Mesh architecture to enhance data discoverability and decentralization.

• AI & Real-time Analytics Exploration: Initiating investigations into AI and real-time analytics to potentially enhance our platform's capabilities.

About You

You are an experienced and passionate Software Engineering professional with excellent problem-solving skills. Moreover you can describe yourself as a true team-player and a confident communicator who can engage with colleagues in person, in writing and online meetings.

Essential Skills:

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java and/or Kotlin, and deeply familiar with SpringBoot.

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and principles, particularly GitLab.

• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana and AWS X-Ray.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in improving developer workflows and processes.

• Knowledge of real-time data processing, particularly Apache Kafka.

• Familiarity with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or TerraGrunt.

• Exposure to Tableau or similar reporting tools.
